Tethered Worlds as a science fiction book series in the action-adventure and space opera genre. It’s available from Amazon in both Kindle and print editions. The adventure starts with book one, Tethered Worlds: Unwelcome Star.

The author has sometimes referred to the series as a “mystic science fiction series.” It’s a bit of a pun that refers to the name of a competing technology in the series. Mystic is most unusual. As its name implies, it differs from the conventional technology of the book’s future in both use and result. Arthur C. Clarke once stated maxims on this topic:

The technology and setting are fascinating, but it’s the characters that will grab you. The series is built around around a very real family. They strive to better themselves even as they are thrust into events as large as those faced by the founders of a nation. The family isn’t perfect, but you will relate to their private struggles, and cheer their quiet—and sometimes not-so-quiet triumphs.
